Senior Software .NET Engineer - Athens, On-site

A company that develops custom B2B and B2C applications, native mobile apps, and data analytics platforms to help businesses streamline operations and make smarter, data-driven decisions is seeking a Senior Software .NET Engineer.

The role

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining technical excellence with strategic thinking. You will define the technology vision and roadmap, architect scalable and secure systems, and lead the migration from legacy platforms to modern microservices-based environments. You will build and mentor cross-functional engineering teams, own the full SDLC, and ensure high-quality delivery of web applications and APIs. You will drive best practices in coding, architecture, and DevOps, evaluate and adopt modern technologies (cloud, automation, AI/ML), and enforce security and compliance standards (OWASP, GDPR), while acting as the main technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on .NET Core
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex systems
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving mindset and business-oriented thinking

Nice to Have

• Experience in large-scale enterprise projects (Retail, B2B, B2C, eCommerce)
• Experience migrating legacy systems to microservices architecture
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect)
• Scrum Master or Agile-related certifications
