Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer / IT Manager

On behalf of our client, a well-established company with a workforce of approximately 150 employees, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer / IT Manager, to take full ownership of its IT environment.

A day in the life of the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer / IT Manager

As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer / IT Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT systems. You will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure stability while also being hands-on when needed and coordinating external partners for specialized services and projects.

Your day-to-day

• Take full ownership of the company’s IT infrastructure
• Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization environments
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and user access controls
• Provide end-user support and troubleshoot technical issues
• Oversee network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VPNs)
• Monitor and enhance cybersecurity measures and backup systems
• Plan and implement IT projects
• Coordinate external IT vendors and service providers
• Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness

What you will need

• 5–8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Administration
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware)
• Solid understanding of networking (firewalls, VLANs, routing, VPN)
• Experience with backup solutions and monitoring tools
• Ability to independently manage and own an IT environment

• Relevant certifications
• Experience in IT security
