Their engineering team develops modern, cloud-based products that support business operations from end to end, using contemporary technologies, continuous delivery practices, and a collaborative product mindset.

As part of an exciting transformation programme, they are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead the evolution of their test automation capabilities and help ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of their core applications.

The Role

You'll play a key role within the Quality Engineering function, taking ownership of the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated testing solutions across the software development lifecycle.

Working closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and Operations teams, you'll help shape quality processes from the earliest stages of development through to production. You'll contribute both strategically and hands-on, designing robust automation frameworks, improving testing standards, and ensuring new features are delivered with confidence.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on automation engineering and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex quality challenges while helping teams continuously improve the way software is built and tested.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated tests covering functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance scenarios
  • Define and continuously improve quality assurance standards, testing processes, and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to investigate defects, improve product quality, and expand automation coverage
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and the definition of acceptance criteria
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on software quality metrics across releases and development cycles
  • Act as a key point of escalation for software quality issues, driving investigations through to resolution
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, product quality, and the overall user experience

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation
  • Strong commercial experience with Playwright and TypeScript
  • Proven experience in designing and building test automation frameworks from the ground up
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, UAT, exploratory, and end-to-end testing
  • Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative version control workflows
  • Solid understanding of the Document Object Model (DOM) and best practices for creating maintainable locator strategies
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex software issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Fluent in Greek and English

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Experience using Jira and documenting technical processes in Notion
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and automation workflows

What's in It for You

€3,300 – €3,500 Gross / Month commensurate with your experience, together with a hybrid working model based in Athens.

You'll work with modern technologies, contribute to the evolution of a cloud-based product platform, collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and product, and play a key role in shaping the company's automation strategy while further developing your technical expertise in a supportive, innovation-driven environment.
