VMware & Windows System Engineer, Porto Rafti, On-site
Systems & Network EngineerOn behalf of our client, an innovative consultancy delivering critical applications in high-availability enterprise environments, we are seeking a VMware & Windows System Engineer to join their growing technical team in Porto-Rafti. The company focuses on designing and supporting virtualized infrastructure and hybrid systems for complex business-critical environments, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and security.
The RoleYou’ll be responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing support of virtualization and Windows-based infrastructure across enterprise environments. Your work will focus on ensuring high system availability, performance, and operational stability across both on-premise and hybrid cloud platforms.
In your first months, you’ll get familiar with the existing VMware and Windows infrastructure, support day-to-day system operations, and contribute to improving automation, monitoring, and infrastructure resilience. You’ll also participate in troubleshooting complex incidents and optimizing virtualized environments for performance and scalability.
What You'll Bring- 3–5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, or IT Operations roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory administration
- Solid experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Good understanding of virtualization concepts and infrastructure design principles
- Experience with system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell or similar) for automation and system tasks
- Experience working in hybrid or enterprise-scale environments
- Professional English communication skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Knowledge of automation or infrastructure tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
- Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, SCOM, or similar)
- Experience with ITIL processes or enterprise ITSM platforms
- Understanding of security hardening and compliance practices
Monthly gross salary in the range of €2,500–€3,500, depending on experience Onsite working model in Porto Rafti.
