.NET Developer

On behalf of our client, a leading institutional body for Insurance companies in Greece, we are currently looking for a self-driven .NET Developer, to join its software development team.

Your day-to-day

• Design, develop, and deploy web applications using .NET Core.
• Maintain and enhance legacy applications written in the .NET Framework (VB.NET), incorporating new features for seamless functionality
• Apply security by design principles throughout the software development lifecycle to preemptively address security issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in the IT industry and evaluate new technologies for adoption

What you will need

• At least 5 years of experience, with a strong background in developing web applications, with proficiency in .NET Core
• Exceptional ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly, staying ahead in a fast-paced technological environment
• Proficient in C#, with a comprehensive understanding of its ecosystem
• A deep understanding of security by design principles, committed to incorporating secure coding practices into development processes
• Familiarity with SQL Server, design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)), and experience with web services (REST, SOAP)
• Experience with Azure DevOps for implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing builds and releases, and automating workflows while knowledge of source control tools within Azure DevOps, such as Azure Repos, and familiarity with Azure Boards for project planning and tracking are also advantageous
