Cloud Security Engineer - Athens, Onsite

Our client is a leading financial services company managing sensitive data and complex cloud infrastructure that demands the highest standards of security and compliance. The role exists to bring dedicated cloud security expertise to a team operating under increasing regulatory pressure from NIS2 and DORA while scaling its cloud environment.

The Role

You will design and implement security measures across cloud platforms, run vulnerability assessments and be the first line of defence when incidents arise in the cloud environment. In your first six months, you will conduct a thorough security assessment of the existing cloud infrastructure, identify the most critical gaps and put a clear remediation roadmap in place that keeps the business ahead of both threats and regulators. You will be the person the organisation trusts when sensitive data and cloud security are on the line.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of cloud security experience across AWS, Azure or GCP
• Proven ability to design and implement security controls, policies and procedures for cloud environments
• Solid experience conducting cloud security assessments and managing vulnerabilities at scale
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks relevant to financial services environments
• Ability to monitor cloud infrastructure for threats and respond decisively to security incidents

Nice to Have

• CISSP, CCSP or equivalent cloud security certification
• Experience working within NIS2 or DORA compliance frameworks
• Background in financial services or other highly regulated cloud environments
