Data Engineer , Alimos, Hybrid Flexible working model

Our client is a data consultancy specialising in data management, visualisation, advanced analytics, and analytics consulting. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, they are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in Alimos.

The Role

You’ll design, build, and optimise modern cloud-based data platforms with a primary focus on Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse architectures. Working across enterprise-scale analytics projects, you’ll contribute to the development of scalable data pipelines, transformation workflows, and curated data layers that support advanced BI and analytics initiatives.

Within your first six months, you’ll play a key role in delivering end-to-end Fabric-based data solutions, optimising ELT processes, and contributing to high-impact client projects using technologies such as dbt, Databricks, Azure Data Services, and Power BI.

What You’ll Bring

• 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Management
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or similar modern data platforms
• Strong SQL skills and experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
• Experience working with Lakehouse architectures and Medallion design principles
• Hands-on experience with PySpark for data processing and transformation
• Experience using dbt for SQL-based transformations, testing, and documentation
• Understanding of data modelling concepts and curated data marts for analytics workloads
• Experience using Git for version control and team collaboration
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating SAP source systems (ECC, S4/HANA) into modern data platforms
• Exposure to Power BI, DirectLake connectivity, or Semantic Model design in Microsoft Fabric
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
• Microsoft Fabric or Databricks certifications
• Experience with IBM WatsonX.Data, IBM SPSS Modeler, IBM DataStage, or Qlik technologies
• Exposure to SAP BusinessObjects reverse engineering or SAP BW data models
