Document & Permit Engineer

On behalf of our client, a rapidly growing telecom infrastructure company, undertaking multiple projects across Europe, we are looking for a dynamic Document & Permit Engineer who will join their team based in Athens, be responsible for the coordination of telco projects in Athens (FTTH-FTTC-FTTB).

A day in the life of a Document & Permit Engineer 

You will be part of the engineering team in Athens and your main responsibilities will be based on the documentation and Permit engineering procedures of projects in the telecommunications and permit works. This includes organizing and monitoring the entire implementation of the project but also maintaining the communication between the client and the construction team. 

Your day-to-day

• Fiber-to-the-Home and Fiber-to-the-Business project documentation
• Monitoring the project’s documentation progress up to the final acceptance
• Coordinate with the other teams of the project – civil works team & optical implementation teams
• Progress meetings with customers
• Continuous communication with the project management department, regarding the procedures from the preparation until the completion of the project
• Act as the focal point for the engineering team and third-party contractors, responsible for quality, completeness, and timeliness of documentation.
• Provide all necessary information for permits
• Issue, monitor, and sign off closure of permits to work in accordance with site procedure.
• Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outlines, and/or preparing work progression documents

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Environmental/Architecture/Electrical/ Mechanical /Civil)
• 2+ years of working experience
• Strong command of the English language
• Knowledge of Office Suite, AutoCAD, and GIS technologies 

Great to have

• Experience in Permission Projects
• Familiarity with projects in the Telecommunication industry
