Electrical Engineer (Shift Leader) – Data Center Operations

Our client is a global data center operator, part of a leading international digital infrastructure group, delivering secure, 24/7 mission-critical services across Greece and Europe.

The role exists due to the expansion of the Athens campus and the need for structured leadership within the shift operations engineering team.

The Role

You will lead and coordinate the shift engineering team responsible for monitoring and supporting the continuous operation of the data center infrastructure. You will ensure proper shift scheduling, incident coordination, and operational readiness of electrical systems, while working closely with cooling engineers and senior technical leadership.

During your first months, you will learn the full infrastructure in detail and gradually take ownership of shift coordination, incident handling support, and team guidance during critical operational events.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or critical facilities operations
• Experience in a technical operational environment (data centers, industrial plants, utilities preferred)
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and systems monitoring
• Leadership experience or proven ability to coordinate technical teams
• Strong English communication skills
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Ability to operate in a 24/7 mission-critical environment

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in shift-based operations or control room environments
• Exposure to data center infrastructure or large-scale electrical systems
• Experience in incident management or operational coordination roles
