Electrical Site Engineer

Our client is looking for a Site Electrical Engineer to support electrical works and maintenance activities across operating substations in Attica. The role involves continuous on-site supervision of works, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and adherence to the requirements of the substation owner.

Engineers will be assigned to different areas across Attica depending on project requirements and the location of active substations. As new projects and substations are added, assignments may change while remaining within the Attica region.

The Role

You'll be the electrical engineering presence on site, supervising contractors and monitoring the safe execution of electrical works within operating substations.

This is a supervisory and monitoring role rather than a hands-on engineering position. You will not perform electrical operations, switching, or physical work on equipment. Instead, you'll monitor activities, ensure that safety requirements and site procedures are followed, and provide regular reporting on the progress and execution of works.

You will work across substations operating at different voltage levels, including HV/MV substations (150/20–22 kV) and MV/MV substations (22/6.6 kV).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous on-site presence throughout the execution of works
• Supervise electrical works carried out within operating substations
• Monitor compliance with Health & Safety rules and site-specific safety procedures
• Ensure contractors follow the requirements and instructions of the substation owner
• Monitor the safe execution of maintenance, repair, installation, and upgrade works
• Act as the responsible supervising electrical engineer on site for safe execution and compliance matters
• Observe and report the progress and status of daily works
• Prepare regular site reports documenting activities, progress, and any relevant issues
• Support projects involving substations across different locations in Attica

Current Project Activities

Depending on project requirements, the role may involve supervision of activities including:

• Repair works on concrete poles within 150/20–22 kV substations
• Installation of remote security systems across multiple HV/MV and MV/MV substations in Attica
• Repair works on concrete poles within 150/20 kV substations
• Installation of online monitoring systems on transformers across multiple 150/20 kV substations

What You'll Bring

• University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Electrical Installer License – 4th Group, 1st Specialty
• Previous experience working on construction sites or technical projects
• Experience in electrical projects, energy projects, or high-voltage environments
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements on technical worksites
• Ability to monitor contractors and ensure compliance with defined procedures
• Strong observational, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent presence on site
• Willingness to work according to project requirements, including occasional Saturdays

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working within substations
• Experience in high-voltage or medium-voltage projects
• Experience with renewable energy projects, including photovoltaic or wind farms
