Senior Electrical / Renewable Energy Consultant

Our client is an engineering and consulting organization specializing in renewable energy projects, acting as an Owners Engineer for large-scale photovoltaic and wind farm developments in Greece and internationally. The company provides technical advisory, detailed engineering, project supervision, and procurement support across utility-scale energy infrastructure, working closely with major construction and energy partners. 

The role exists due to the expansion of its international project portfolio and the need for senior-level engineering expertise to support complex, high-value projects.

The Role

You will act as a Senior Owners Engineer, leading technical advisory and design review activities across large-scale renewable energy projects (PV, wind, and grid infrastructure up to utility-scale giga projects). You will take ownership of engineering studies, technical validation, and coordination with international stakeholders, while also supporting procurement, design review, and execution supervision. 

Within your first six months, you will be independently handling technical reviews for ongoing projects, supporting design optimization (cable sizing, load flow, electrical studies), and participating in high-level technical discussions with external partners and international engineering teams.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within renewable energy (PV and wind farm projects required)
• Strong hands-on experience with electrical design, grid connection studies, and project engineering in utility-scale energy projects
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst, MS Office, and electrical engineering tools (e.g. 4M, T*SOL, or iTCalc)
• Strong experience in cable sizing, load flow studies, and electrical system design for medium and large-scale projects
• Fluency in English, with confidence in technical discussions and stakeholder meetings
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (University level)

Nice to Have

• Experience as an Owners Engineer or Technical Advisor in large infrastructure or energy projects
• Exposure to high-voltage substations and grid integration studies
• Experience working with international engineering teams or EPC contractors

€3,200 – €3,350 Gross / Month salary commensurate with experience, under a B2B contract offering flexibility and autonomy within a highly technical consulting environment. Based on-site in Marousi, Athens, 5 days per week, you'll contribute to giga-scale renewable energy projects, including PV and wind farms in Greece and abroad, while gaining exposure to international stakeholders and complex engineering challenges.
